332 BOREHOLES: ONE YEAR AFTER OSUN CITIZENS ARE ENJOYING DIVIDEND OF DEMOCRACY
Water is life. We are created from it. We are healthy by drinking enough of it per day. No one lives without it.
Sometimes to get water may be stressful. People walk miles to fetch undrinkable water. The neck receives pains just to convey water home. I had done it in the past and I am seeing people go to the river to wash their clothes.
Thanks to Senator Ademola Adeleke, the peoples governor, the man who provides 332 boreholes across Osun State. All 332 wards in Osun State have boreholes in the reign of the visionary governor. Each ward has one borehole, no favouratism. It was done within one hundred days in Office.
No governor in the past had ever provided this amenity for Osun State citizens. This translates that our dear governor has prepared to serve not opportunist who ruled in abberation.
In each ward in Osun State today, every citizen has access to drinkable water. No one will walk miles before he/she has most essential commodity - water.
Don't be surprised that the prudent governor didn't empty the vault to provide unavoidable amenity for Osun citizens. He budgeted 498,000,000 (four hundred and ninety eight million naira only) to make life better for electorates.
Let me do the arithmetic for you before you accuse the project on inflated budget. Each borehole costs 1,500,000 (One million five hundred thousand naira only). What a prudent governor who achieved tremendously with cheaper cost.
We thank God for giving us a merciful governor. The governor who thinks of citizens and how to make life easier for them.
