To assess the extent of the damage caused by the windstorm in Iwo community, the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has directed the Osun State Emergency Management Agency (OSEMA) to gather comprehensive data on the damage caused to residential properties. The delegation, led by the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Emergency Management, Hon. Emiola Fakeye, said the purpose of their inspection was to inspect the affected houses and evaluate the overall impact on the community. "By conducting this inspection, we aim to generate a comprehensive report on the damage caused by the windstorm. Our report will serve as a vital tool for the governor, on whose instruction we here, in formulating a comprehensive recovery plan that will address the ongoing challenges faced by the affected people in the community. "We are categorizing the affected houses based on the level of destruction and urgency of assistance required. This will help to prioritize the allocation of resources and assistance to ensure that those in dire need receive immediate help. "Moreover, the governor recognizes that the emotional toll on the impacted residents cannot be overlooked. In addition to assessing physical damage, the delegation will also engage with the affected individuals and families, offering compassion and support.
